Debt snowball
A payoff plan where you pay minimums on every debt and put all extra money toward the smallest balance first.
With the debt snowball, you list debts from smallest balance to largest. When the smallest is paid off, its payment rolls into the next one, so the amount you throw at each debt grows.
Quick wins can keep you motivated. The trade-off is that you may pay more total interest than with the debt avalanche, since the smallest balance is not always the most expensive one.
Example
Debts of $500 at 20%, $2,000 at 25% and $6,000 at 7% are paid in this order: $500, then $2,000, then $6,000.
