WalletPrep

How we make money

WalletPrep is free to use. Here's exactly how that works, so you can judge what we say.

What pays the bills

Some pages on "how to choose" list accounts from partners. If you open one through our link, the company may pay us. Partner links are labeled. We may also offer paid extras, like printable workbooks, and we work with employers who give WalletPrep to their teams as a benefit.

What never changes

Lessons, the plan, the calculators and the daily game contain no partner products and no paid placement. Checklists are written before any partner is added, and a partner that doesn't meet the checklist isn't listed. No one pays to change a lesson.

How lessons are made

Every number in a worked example or table is calculated by code, and the build fails if the math doesn't add up. Yearly limits come from the IRS, FDIC and other primary sources, with the year shown. Each lesson lists its sources and its last update.

What this isn't

General education, not personalized financial, tax or legal advice. Figures are examples. Check current rates and limits before you act.
