Tenant screening report
A report landlords use to decide whether to rent to you. It can include your credit, rental history and eviction records.
Landlords may use these reports to decide whether to approve you and how big a security deposit to ask for. The reports can contain errors, such as records that belong to someone else.
If a landlord denies you because of one, federal law says they must tell you, name the company that made it and explain your right to a free copy within 60 days and to dispute mistakes.
